Current market environment performance of dynamic, risk-managed investment solutions.
In the third quarter of 2026, 19 exchange-traded products (“ETPs”) were added to the ETF Deathwatch list and 214 were removed, bringing the total down to 722.
All 19 additions this quarter were due to low trading volume. None were due to low assets under management (“AUM”). The low volume may be related to the nature of their investment products. Our system takes both AUM and volume into account. If both remain low, these funds could be considered for closure.
Among the removals for the quarter, 169 were due to delisting and 45 were due to improved health.
The average age of products on the list increased from 38.58 months to 44.97 months, while the number of products at least 5 years old stayed at 146. Seventy ETPs on Deathwatch this quarter have been in the market for at least 10 years, including many short ETPs.
The average asset level of the threatened ETPs on ETF Deathwatch increased from $9.13 million to $9.78 million, and 72 products had assets of less than $2 million. The largest ETP on the list had an AUM of $24.75 million, while the smallest had assets of just $234,825.
